Neonatologist

About the Opportunity

Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital Evansville is seeking a full‑time, motivated neonatologist to join our exceptional team at our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Responsibilities

• Care for critically ill newborns in a state‑of‑the‑art Level III NICU
• Utilize advanced capabilities including therapeutic hypothermia, jet ventilation, high‑frequency oscillatory ventilation, and neurally adjusted ventilatory assist (NAVA)
• Provide in‑house call with 5 neonatologists, transitioning to a model with overnight nurse practitioner coverage with neonatologist at-home call
• Collaborate with pediatric subspecialty support from hospital‑based pediatric cardiologists, gastroenterologists, neurologists, and other specialists
• Contribute to a comprehensive OB service including MFM program, OB Clinic, and in‑house OB hospitalists
• Participate in QI projects and intermittent education of medical and physician assistant students

Ideal Candidate

• Fellowship trained in Neonatal‑Perinatal Medicine
• Excellent clinical, communication, and team‑based skills
• Commitment to family‑centered, evidence‑based care
• BC/BE in Neonatal‑Perinatal Medicine

Requirements

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
