GenAI Engineer

Salary: $91,000 - 91,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in AI engineering, machine learning, data science, data engineering, or related technical roles.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience developing machine-learning models, LLM applications, RAG pipelines, vector search solutions, and AI-enabled workflows.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks, libraries, and model APIs, and platforms such as Azure AI, OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock, Databricks, or Hugging Face.
• Strong understanding of data pipelines, model experimentation, and AI solution development.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Preferred: Experience with MLOps, LLMOps, model evaluation and monitoring, and responsible AI practices.
• Preferred: Experience designing scalable AI architectures and deploying solutions in cloud environments.
• Preferred: Experience with agentic AI, multi-agent systems, workflow orchestration, and fine-tuning.
• Preferred: Knowledge of enterprise AI integrations, APIs, and production deployment patterns, as well as experience with enterprise analytics and data engineering solutions.
• Preferred: Relevant AI, cloud, or data engineering certifications.

• Design, develop, and evaluate AI/ML solutions using machine learning, data science, statistical modeling, and generative AI.
• Build LLM-powered applications, RAG systems, vector search solutions, and agentic AI workflows.
• Develop reusable data pipelines and AI workflows using structured and unstructured data, applying AI techniques to improve business processes and operational efficiency.
• Create functional prototypes and proofs of concept using Python, AI SDKs, and model APIs; test and optimize AI workflows, retrieval systems, and agent-based applications.
• Run experiments, assess model performance, validate technical feasibility, and research emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and tools.
• Work with engineering teams to move validated prototypes into production-ready solutions.
• Contribute to architecture decisions involving model selection, APIs, cloud infrastructure, security, scalability, and deployment.
• Support integration of AI systems with enterprise applications and data platforms.
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to align solutions with business needs.
• Track developments in generative AI, machine learning, and open-source technologies; present findings, prototypes, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Document AI solutions, architecture decisions, and implementation approaches, and contribute to workshops, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing.

We are hiring a GenAI Engineer for our Engineering division to develop and prototype AI/ML solutions that address complex business challenges and deliver measurable value. The position is based in Plano, Texas, with four days on-site per week. This is a 12+ month contract with potential for conversion, offering $43.75 per hour on W-2 plus medical benefits.
