Salary Range: $53,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CMM programs for various manufactured parts.
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications to create inspection routines.
• Perform first article inspections (FAI) and in-process inspections using CMM.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing CMM programs for efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams to ensure measurement requirements are met.
• Analyze measurement data and generate comprehensive inspection reports.
• Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment, ensuring proper functionality and accuracy.
• Train production and quality personnel on CMM operation and basic program execution.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and 3D models.
• Experience with various CMM hardware platforms and probe systems.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs.
• Familiarity with quality control processes and manufacturing environments.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) beyond basic model viewing.
• Proficiency in a programming language relevant to automation or data analysis (e.g., Python, C#).
• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT).
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) software and methodologies.
• Ability to train junior CMM operators or technicians.
