Job Description & Requirements

Position Details:

• Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

Schedule:

• 4 × 10-hour day shifts
• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
• 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM

Contract Length:

• (13 Weeks)

Guaranteed Hours:

• 40 Hours/Week

Requirements:

• Active RN License
• Cath Lab experience required
• Must be able to circulate procedures
• Ability to train new nurses
• Flexibility with scheduling
• MyJourney modules assigned during orientation

Required Experience:

• Cath Lab experience
• Experience with PCI, peripheral procedures, diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, nephrostomy tubes, and IVC filter procedures
• Knowledge of balloon pumps
• STEMI experience preferred

Required Certifications:

• BLS
• ACLS

Key Responsibilities:

• Circulate during Cath Lab procedures
• Assist physicians during cardiac and interventional procedures
• Monitor and care for patients before, during, and after procedures
• Train and support new Cath Lab nurses
• Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner
• Collaborate with the Cath Lab team to ensure quality patient care

Additional Information:

• Currently 1 Cath Lab (expanding to 2 labs)
• Average 0–6 cases per day
• RN circulation required; scrubbing not required (Cath Lab Techs scrub)
• Charting Systems: Cerner, Sensis, and Merge
• Equipment: GE
• No weekend requirement specified
• No holiday requirement specified
• Hospital provides scrubs
• STEMI patients are transferred to a nearby facility in Turlock, CA
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment
• BSN not required
