Freight Analyst

Overview Freight Analyst role within the Shipping department at Mannington. The position reports to the Freight Analyst Supervisor and follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This role supports the company values and mission in daily operations and ensures accurate freight invoicing and carrier communications. Responsibilities Audit and process all received freight invoices and resolve discrepancies when they arise. Monitor accuracy of freight charges to Mannington customers and request debits/credits when required. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with transportation vendors, including on/off site meetings, phone, and email. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Customer Service. Aim to become an expert in Mannington shipping and freight billing processes; provide leadership, training, and assistance to other associates to deliver the best customer experience. Update and provide tracking information to Customer Service and other necessary parties. File claims with carriers for lost or damaged shipments and maintain records for all claims filed. Innovation: Applies original thinking to improve processes and outcomes. Qualifications Education and/or Experience: Associates degree preferred with 3 to 5 years of relevant office experience. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic, interpret rates and percentages, and calculate material requirements. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and solve problems in standardized situations. Computer Skills: Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and formulas. Other Skills and Abilities: Up to 10% travel may be required.
