Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide expert nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room setting, ensuring their immediate needs are met with clinical proficiency. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions upon arrival to determine acuity and develop appropriate care plans.
• Implement evidence-based interventions tailored to age-specific criteria for emergency patients.
• Evaluate patient responses to treatments and modify care plans accordingly.
• Educate non-licensed staff, including LPN/PCT and unit secretaries, on clinical procedures and patient care standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system.

Qualifications:

• Valid Ohio/OH or Compact RN license with active status in Nursys.
• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Proven experience with MediTech EMR system.
• Ability to float to all units within skill level and comply with hospital policies.
