Receiving Clerk / Inventory Team

At Wally’s, The Home of the Great American Road Trip, our Receiving Clerks help keep the store running smoothly by making sure deliveries are received accurately, organized properly, and moved quickly to the right departments. This role is a key part of the Inventory Team and helps support strong in-stock conditions across the store.

This position is a great fit for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment. You’ll work with vendors, store leadership, and department teams to verify shipments, track inventory, maintain records, and help products move efficiently from receiving to storage and onto the sales floor.

What You’ll Do

• Receive deliveries from vendors and verify products against purchase orders and packing slips

• Inspect shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage

• Scan and record incoming inventory using store inventory systems

• Maintain accurate receiving and inventory records

• Help move product efficiently from receiving to storage and stocking locations

• Work closely with inventory, retail, and other store teams to support product flow

• Review invoices and receiving paperwork for accuracy

• Ensure vendors follow store receiving procedures

• Keep receiving areas clean, organized, and audit-ready

• Communicate issues, shortages, or discrepancies to store leadership as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Strong organization and attention to detail

• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment with frequent deliveries

• Comfortable using inventory systems and basic computer programs (PDI preferred)

• Clear communication with team members, vendors, and managers

• Ability to work independently and stay organized throughout the shift

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Previous receiving, stocking, warehouse, or inventory experience is helpful

• Weekend availability required

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift

• Move product regularly as part of daily receiving duties

• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds

• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
