Registered Nurse

Job Summary (List Format): Communicate effectively with staff, patients, insurance companies, and physicians via excellent written and verbal skills. Maintain strict adherence to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations regarding patient information. Utilize strong attention to detail and good command of English and math skills. Demonstrate quick learning ability and compliance with policies and supervisor instructions. Operate computers efficiently, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and navigating multiple screens. Apply medical terminology and insurance knowledge in daily tasks. Perform multi-tasking in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Exhibit strong typing skills (45+ wpm) and analytical problem-solving abilities. Deliver excellent customer service and phone etiquette, preferably with experience in the medical industry. Travel to off-site locations as needed (Outpatient only). Complete patient registrations (20-30+ per 8-hour shift), including scanning documents, insurance verification, and upfront collections. Ensure timely and accurate registration of all patients and pre-registration of scheduled patients according to department standards. Screen and assist uninsured patients for Hospital Presumptive Eligibility (HPE) and/or Uncompensated Care programs. Maintain professional appearance and positive guest relations; greet and assist patients and visitors warmly. Prepare, organize, and file paperwork and documentation efficiently. Collaborate with eligibility vendors and maintain positive working relationships. Provide clear communication, actively listen, and use appropriate channels for information sharing. Meet organizational productivity and timeliness standards for various admitting, outpatient, emergency, and OB/inpatient departments. Schedule OB procedures in the enterprise scheduling system. Possess at least one year of experience in a high-volume healthcare or medical office setting. Hold a high school diploma or equivalent; continuing education preferred. Preferably bilingual in Spanish or Chinese (Mandarin). Hold a valid driver's license for potential travel requirements. #J-18808-Ljbffr vTech Solution
