The Department of Executive Medicine is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse 2 to work in Miami Beach, FL.

The Registered Nurse 2 delivers patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner utilizing evidence-based standards of quality, safety, and service while ensuring population-specific patient care. The Registered Nurse 2 oversees nurses and allied health staff in their daily practice.

Core responsibilities include assessing assigned patients, evaluating plans, documenting nursing care, reporting symptoms and changes in patients' condition, modifying patient treatment plans, reviewing diagnostic tests, consulting with healthcare professionals, preparing patients for examinations and procedures, performing patient tests, administering medications, communicating plan of care, using available resources to assist in discharge planning, planning and prioritizing assignments, adapting to changing work demands, serving as a preceptor, and adhering to University and unit-level policies.

Core qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, a valid State of Florida RN license, minimum 2 years of relevant experience, learning agility, teamwork, technical proficiency, and strong communication skills.

The Executive Health Department provides convenient and personalized attention to patients. The RN2 is responsible for assessing physical and psychosocial status of patients, assisting physicians in medical procedures, managing refills and referrals, providing in basket message coverage, maintaining EMR inbox, performing phlebotomy and other medical procedures, calling patients with results and physician instructions, assisting with clinic equipment and supply orders, working with the Executive Health team, interacting with high profile patients, adapting to changing work demands, and adhering to University and Department level policies.
