Join Aircastle's Technical team as a Director, Powerplant, where you'll play a key role in maximizing the performance, value, and lifecycle of engines and APUs across our aircraft portfolio. This is an opportunity to combine deep technical expertise with strategic analysis while working closely with airlines, MROs, OEMs, and industry partners throughout the Americas.

As a Director, Powerplant, you will:

  • Become a trusted engine expert: Lead engine and APU forecasting, shop visit planning, and LLP analysis to support informed asset management decisions.
  • Drive commercial impact: Partner with Leasing, Trading, Pricing, and Legal teams to support lease negotiations, aircraft transitions, acquisitions, and sales.
  • Optimize asset value: Maintain engine cost, maintenance, and LLP databases while evaluating the impact of repairs, modifications, service bulletins, and maintenance events on residual values.
  • Build industry relationships across the Americas: Collaborate with airlines, OEMs, MROs, engine trading companies, and consultants throughout the Americas to solve technical challenges and support strategic initiatives.
  • Own critical technical decisions: Review work scopes, maintenance activities, documentation, invoices, and compliance records to ensure alignment with lease requirements and industry standards.
  • Support aviation transactions: Contribute technical expertise to engine leases, repair programs, aircraft transitions, and powerplant-related projects across the portfolio.

Do you have the right stuff?

  • Powerplant Specialist: You bring 5+ years of relevant technical aviation experience and a strong understanding of aircraft engines and APUs.
  • Technical & Analytical Thinker: You can interpret complex technical data and translate it into actionable business insights.
  • Industry Connected: Familiarity with OEM systems such as MyBoeingFleet, AirbusWorld, GE, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce, or Honeywell platforms is preferred.
  • Collaborative Problem Solver: You enjoy partnering across functions and working with internal and external stakeholders to achieve results.
  • Organized & Self-Driven: You can manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and maintain exceptional attention to detail.
  • Aviation Professional: An aircraft maintenance license, Aeronautical Engineering degree, or a similar technical qualification is preferred.
