Registered Respiratory Therapist I

Role Overview Provides comprehensive respiratory care to patients with pulmonary disorders, including diagnosis, treatment, and management. Collects and analyzes sputum, blood, and breath samples to assess gas levels and lung capacity, aiding in diagnosis and treatment planning. Administers physician-prescribed treatments for breathing abnormalities and oversees respiratory therapy technicians. Responsible for primary respiratory treatments, ensuring quality care and safety. Participates in weekend, holiday, and emergency team duties as needed. Qualifications & Skills Associate degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited program. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the NBRC. State licensure and current BLS certification. 6 months to 2 years of relevant work experience. Physical ability to perform job functions, including lifting up to 50 lbs., working in various environments, and performing fine and gross motor tasks. Strong vision, hearing, and sensory capabilities, with stress management skills. Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, and in latex‑safe environments. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to respiratory health. Monitor and analyze patient specimens and lung function.
