Piping Designer(s)for a contract position with an engineering firm in Houston, TX. 77072

• Duration : One year with possible extension

Computer Skills ( Proficiency in):

• Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
• PDF Editor (Adobe, Foxit, or other equivalent)
• Solid Works (required)
• Autodesk AutoCAD
• Navisworks Manager / Freedom

Education:
Designer should be in possession of a Technical Certification in the design discipline.

Experience:
· A minimum of 5 years of experience mechanical, piping, and structural scopes  of work for Hyperscale Data Center Modules or related environment in similar industry.
· Ability to produce drawings / sketches to illustrate design / ideas.
· Experience with  high-density data centers and hyperscale environments (strongly preferred)
· High level understanding of the purpose of electrical system for facilities.
· General Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations, including but not limited to:

o AHRI – Air-Conditioning, Heating, & Refrigeration Institute
o AMCA – Air Movement and Control Association International
o AISI – American Iron and Steel institute
o AISC – American Institute of Steel Construction
o AISI – American Iron and Steel institute

o ASME – American Society of Mechanical Engineers (specifically B&PV Section VIII, IX,
B31.3)
o ASTM – American Society of Testing and Materials
o ASHRAE – American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Condition Engineers
o AWS – American Welding Society
o IBC – International Building Code
o MFMA – Metal Framing Manufactures Association
o MSS – Manufactures Standardization Society (Valves and Fittings Industry)
o OSHA – Occupational Safety and Health Administration
o NACE – National Association of Corrosion Engineers
o NFPA – National Fire Protection Association
o PFI – Pipe Fabrication Institute
o SMACNA – Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association
o TEMA – Tubular Exchanger Manufacturers Association
o Experience working with computer-aided design (CAD) and building information modeling
(BIM) software
