Veterinarian

Cherry Hill Animal Hospital is a companion animal clinic with 4 full‑time and 1 part‑time veterinarians. With FearFree certification and state‑of‑the‑art technology, the clinic provides routine wellness and illness care, ultrasonography, digital and dental radiographs, cutting laser, therapeutic cold laser, and behavior medicine. The clinic values a positive, respectful culture and welcomes students who share this approach. Students participating in the externship work closely with the supervising veterinarian to gather patient histories, conduct physical exams, develop treatment plans, perform diagnostics, provide dentistry services, observe or assist in surgical procedures, and manage patients medically. The externship also offers practice in communication with the medical team, support staff, and clients. Most externship experiences range from two to eight weeks, depending on student and hospital schedules. All veterinary students, regardless of class year, are encouraged to participate. Veterinary students in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for a travel/living expense stipend.
