Job Description
Title: Night Nurse Supervisor - Clinical Leader

Schedule: Full Time Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 3 shifts per week, every other weekend, holiday as needed

Assignment Details:
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:
- NYS RN Licensure
- 3 years acute RN experience
- 1 year critical care experience (preferably ED)
- 1 year leadership/charge nurse experience
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate clinical activities throughout the acute care setting during evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff in planning, organizing, evaluating, and delivering nursing care to patients of all age groups.
- Collaborate with nursing managers and unit staff to monitor staffing levels based on patient acuities and adjust staffing accordingly.
- Support nursing staff in managing emergency clinical and administrative situations in line with established policies and protocols.
- Facilitate competency assessment and staff development needs for nursing staff on shifts and weekends.
- Participate in nursing leadership committees and problem-solving groups to enhance patient care delivery.

Compliance / Notes:
Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is reasonably anticipated. Required tasks involve potential contact with blood, body fluids, and tissues.
