Merchandising Lead

Sam's Club #4712, 10488 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77043‑5106 Position Summary Provides member service by acknowledging members, identifying member needs, and providing guidance and support to members regarding self‑service technology, aiding purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting company products and services. Responsibilities Assist members with purchasing decisions, locate merchandise, resolve member issues, and promote company products/services. Support management in supervising associates, assigning duties, communicating goals, training, and ensuring member complaints are resolved according to company guidelines. Receive and stock supplies, organize and maintain sales floor, manage equipment, merchandising, and maintain required documentation. Maintain facility safety, conduct safety sweeps, handle hazardous materials, and report unsafe situations. Ensure merchandise presentation, handle claims and returns, arrange and price items, and identify shrink, securing fragile and high‑shrink merchandise. Monitor food and merchandise quality, enforce product rotation, code dating, recall, and sanitation standards. Oversee picking and staging of club pick‑up orders according to policy. Develop and implement processes to meet business needs, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners. Demonstrate compliance with company policies, ethics, and the Open Door Policy; assist in correcting issues. Lead and participate in teams, coordinate work assignments, provide feedback, and model adaptability. Embrace diversity, create an inclusive workplace, mentor others, and uphold high standards of integrity. Serve customers and members, deliver results, balance short‑ and long‑term priorities, and make informed decisions. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. 6 months retail experience AND 6 months customer service experience. Preferred Qualifications Leading a team: supervising experience, hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing workload of others.
