Job Summary:
Med Surgical with Telemetry Nurse position located in Des Moines, Iowa. This role involves providing care for patients in the Emergency Department observation units, overnight stays, and various surgical procedures requiring overnight care. The candidate will work a rotating shift schedule, supporting a unit with 16 beds and patient ratios of 3:5 and 2:7 at most.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: 24 months of current Med Surg or Telemetry experience, previous travel experience, EPIC electronic medical records experience, Heparin management experience, Iowa/IA license or multistate license, active American Heart Association or ARC/Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications, at least 24 months of work history in related fields, skills checklist specific to Med Surg/Telemetry, drivers license document.
• Preferred Qualifications: Professional reference or performance evaluation from within the past 24 months.
• Additional Information: Orientation dates are scheduled for 8/31 and 9/8. The unit requires working 1-2 of the upcoming summer holidays unless closed.
