Accounting Manager

DescriptionKforce's client, a growing multi-location organization located in the Saint Louis, MO area is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations and oversee the monthly close process. This on-site position offers the opportunity to partner closely with leadership, drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and support the continued growth of the business. They also offer a great working environment, business casual and jeans on Friday.Duties:* Accounting Manager will lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process across multiple entities* Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, accuracy, and efficiency* Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules* Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and journal entries* As an Accounting Manager, you will maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls* Coordinate external audits and ensure audit readiness* Partner with leadership on strategic initiatives, growth efforts, and special projectsRequirements* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, required* 5+ years of progressive accounting experience* Experience leading the month-end close process* Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls* Experience within a private company or industry environment is a plus* Strong systems knowledge with experience supporting or improving financial systems preferredJob TypeDirect HireCompensation115000 - $125000
