How you'll contribute

A Pre-Arrival Coordinator who excels in this role:

• Serves as a resource and liaison between the patient/family, referral source, clinics, and physicians.
• Selects correct patient to ensure medical record accuracy and to decrease any potential duplicate medical record possibilities.
• Pre-registers all patient types for services, accurately collecting, processing and distributing demographic and billing information to appropriate units, providers, ancillary and service departments.
• Schedules procedures for all ancillary departments utilizing each individual procedure protocol. Explains the procedure, preparation, procedure information, procedure requirements for each individual procedure.
• Determines patient eligibility, coverage and insurance limitations.
• Requests results of previous pertinent studies from other facilities

What we're looking for Pre-Arrival Coordinator:

• Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree preferred
• Minimum Work Experience: 1 year clerical experience
• Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
