Registered Nurse Surgical Stepdown

Schedule

Shift: 7a-7p. Every other weekend rotation.

Assignment Details

Contract length: 26 weeks. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.

Requirements

• License: Kansas or Multistate license.
• Certifications: AHA BLS required.
• Minimum Experience: 1 year of progressive care/step down experience required.
• Charting System: Epic.
• Education: ADN or BSN required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a post-surgical setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, making timely reports to healthcare teams.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist in patient education and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with health regulations and facility policies.

Compliance / Notes

RTO policy: Maximum of 10 days for a 26-week+ contract, maximum of 5 RTO days for shorter contracts, with one holiday off allowed. Documentation of vaccinations and TB status required.
