GROCERY/RECEIVING CLERK

Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.ResponsibilitiesReport all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraudNotify management of customer or employee accidentsDevelop and train DSD Receiver back upEnsure maximum security of receiving areaPractice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repairReinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store managementEnsure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintainedAdhere to all food safety regulations and guidelinesStay current with present, future, seasonal and special adsEnsure inventory management for all delivered productProcess damaged/returned goods and complete/process paperworkCheck condition, accuracy of quantity, pricing, and temperature of product receivedEnsure shipping and receiving tools are working properly to provide a smooth transition of the products/merchandise into the store and inventory logsMaintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions to capture ordering system integrity, including Computer Assisted OrderingReport product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department managerLabel, stock and inventory department merchandisePromote trust and respect among associates, with a positive attitudeAbility to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodationQualificationsMINIMUMAbility to collaborate and work cooperatively in a team-based environmentStrong attention to detailDESIREDAny receiving experienceSecond language (speaking, reading and/or writing)Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processesExcellent oral/written communication skills
