About the job Anesthesia Technician Student UPMC Mercy is hiring a casual Anesthesia Technician Student Employment Structure $17.68 - $27.74/Hour Responsibilities Ensure contaminated equipment is cleaned, disinfected per policy, and returned to service quickly. Ensure there is adequate equipment available. Terminal cleaning of anesthesia equipment and stocking of carts at the end of each day. Maintained equipment cables and supplies in the workroom. Responsible for intra-operative blood delivery and return as per transfusion policy. Prompt turnover O.R. suites between cases. Must be able to perform other duties and responsibilities as directed. Deliver supplies and equipment to Professional Staff as needed immediately when called for. The Workroom and all areas of responsibility are kept clean and neat at all times. Preparation of IV solutions and monitoring equipment. Retrieves prepares, and appropriately distributes equipment as directed. High School Diploma or GED required. Enrolled in an anesthesia tech program or an undergraduate nursing program. Must demonstrate knowledge and skills to progress to an Anesthesia Technician position.
