We are excited to announce an opening for a full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist at the Contemporary Trauma Mental Clinic, located in beautiful San Bernardino, California. This role is pivotal for nurturing the emotional well-being of clients who have experienced trauma. As a dedicated mental health counselor, you will be instrumental in delivering specialized therapeutic interventions aimed at fostering recovery and resilience.

Work Environment\nThis position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to connect with clients from your own dedicated workspace. Our clinic operates from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some scheduling flexibility to accommodate patient needs. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of skilled professionals in an engaging and supportive atmosphere, where each team member is valued for their unique contribution to patient care.
Key Responsibilities\nAs a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at our clinic, your duties will include:

- Conducting trauma-informed mental health evaluations to assess clients' trauma history and determine effective treatment pathways. \n
- Designing and implementing tailored trauma recovery strategies that promote resilience and emotional stability. \n
- Providing evidence-based therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). \n
- Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma, build coping mechanisms, and encourage healing. \n
- Collaborating with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each client’s treatment. \n
- Offering crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, utilizing your expertise to stabilize situations and guide clients toward additional help. \n
- Educating patients and their families about trauma reactions and coping strategies, empowering them with knowledge and resources for recovery. \n
- Ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards by maintaining accurate and confidential client documentation. \n
- Participating in case consultations and team meetings, contributing to team dynamics, and remaining engaged in professional development focused on trauma-informed care. \n
- Staying informed of ongoing research and best practices related to trauma therapy to continuously improve your therapeutic skills and effectiveness. \n
Your primary focus will be working with individuals who have suffered traumatic experiences, requiring a compassionate and nuanced understanding of their diverse needs. These patients may include survivors of abuse, combat veterans, and those coping with the psychological aftermath of life-altering events, such as accidents or natural disasters. Your role will directly influence the trajectory of their recovery, helping them reclaim their lives through tailored therapeutic approaches.
Qualifications\nTo succeed in this role, candidates must possess:

- A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- A current and valid state license as an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or PsyD. \n
- At least two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, preferably within trauma-focused therapy. \n
- A deep understanding of trauma-related conditions, trauma-informed therapy methodologies, and effective resilience strategies. \n
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, reflecting both empathy and professionalism in client interactions. \n
- The ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations, ensuring clients feel supported and understood. \n
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and a strong aptitude for utilizing various computer applications. \n
- A collaborative mindset, ready to engage as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team. \n
While not mandatory, experience working in trauma-focused therapy settings and familiarity with trauma-specific intervention methods will greatly enhance your suitability for this role. Hands-on experience in crisis response will also be beneficial in immediate intervention scenarios.
