Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical RN to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute surgical unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and the ability to adapt quickly to dynamic patient needs.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients, including assessment, planning, and implementation.
  
  
• 
  Discharge 8-15 patients daily while managing admissions from ED, PACU, and direct admits.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with the ADT nurse to ensure smooth patient flow and timely transfers.
  
  
• 
  Apply advanced clinical knowledge in a high-volume environment, maintaining safety and compliance standards.
  
  
• 
  Document all patient interactions accurately within Cerner electronic health records.
  
  
• 
  Assist with patient education and support during recovery and discharge processes.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in medical-surgical nursing within a fast-paced setting.
  
  
• 
  Active AHA BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
  
  
• 
  Proficiency with Cerner EHR systems.
  
  
• 
  Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and communication skills.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work scheduled hours from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM.
  
  
• 
  Willingness to work at least 2 major and 1 minor holiday per schedule.
