Logistics Operation Manager-A Logistics Operation Manager oversees all aspects of a distribution facility's operations, coordinating shipping and receiving, ensuring quality, managing staff, and optimizing processes to achieve efficiency and meet production goals.

What you will do on a typical day:

Planning and Scheduling:

• • Develop and implement production schedules and plans to meet customer demand and deadlines.

• • Monitor production progress and adjust plans as needed to ensure timely completion.

• • Manage inventory levels to minimize costs and ensure timely availability of materials.

Quality Control:

• • Ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications.

• • Implement and maintain quality control systems and procedures.

• • Investigate and resolve quality issues promptly.

Staff Management:

• • Lead and motivate a team of warehouse Forklift, Material Handler and Supervisors.

• • Hire, train, and evaluate employees.

• • Address employee issues and concerns.
  • Administer disciplinary actions and set corrective behavior goals.

Process Improvement:

• • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

• • Evaluate and implement new technologies and equipment.

• • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

Safety and Compliance:

• • Ensure that all safety regulations and procedures are followed.

• • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

• • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

What you should have:

Education:Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field is often required.

Experience:Several years of experience in manufacturing operations, ideally in a leadership role.

Technical Skills:Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety procedures.

Leadership Skills:Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team.

Communication Skills:Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Problem-Solving Skills:Ability to identify and resolve problems effectively.

Analytical Skills:Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
