The Director of Platform Operations owns the firms middle office and is responsible for the leadership, management, and continuous improvement of the firm's operational investment platform. This includes oversight of investment operations across both public and private investment solutions, trading, billing, client reporting, platform administration, and investment data quality. The role is accountable for ensuring operational excellence, data integrity, scalability, and risk management across the investment lifecycle while supporting the evolving needs of clients, advisors, and investment professionals.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the operational onboarding and implementation of new investment solutions and approved managers, maintaining the processes and controls that underpin accurate trading, billing, reporting, and portfolio administration, and driving continuous enhancement of the firm's operating environment. The Director of Platform Operations will also lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of trading, rebalancing, and other investment operations technologies, ensuring the firms platform remains efficient, scalable, and aligned with the firm's long-term growth objectives.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on operator and proven people leader who has successfully built, managed, and scaled middle office functions within an RIA, wealth management firm, family office, or asset manager. They will partner closely with the Investment, Client Service, Technology & Business Enablement, Compliance, and Corporate Finance teams to ensure the firm's operational platform, data infrastructure, and supporting technologies keep pace with business growth, increasing operational complexity, and the sophistication of client portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

\n

• Maintain the operational platform lineup across equities, fixed income, and alternatives, and set the operational readiness standards a strategy approved by the Investment team must meet before it is made available to advisors.

\n

• Lead, develop, and retain a team of functional specialists, establishing clear ownership, cross-training, and succession planning across teams.

\n

• Document the platform operating model and product launch process to a repeatable standard and maintain scalable procedures and controls that reduce operational risk as assets, clients, and product complexity grow.

\n

• Serve as the primary middle office partner to the Investment, Advisory, Compliance, and Finance teams, executing on the Investment team’s portfolio and strategy decisions, a partner with Technology & Business Enablement to define platform operations requirements for the firm’s data architecture.

\n

• Own the operational billing process, including fee designations at the account and household level, the controls that identify billing exceptions before invoicing, and, with the Data Quality team, fee reconciliations.

\n

• Guide the launch of new products approved by the investment teams through all phases of development and implementation.

\n

• Own trade execution, rebalancing operations, and order management across the platform, implementing the models and allocations set by the Investment team. Lead ongoing technology evaluations to improve efficiency, accuracy, and advisor experience.

\n

• Own investment data quality across custodial feeds and the firm’s investment record, including fee reconciliations, billing-data integrity, and the governance standards and exception management that support accurate client reporting.• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; an equivalent blend of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

• 10+ years of experience in platform or investment operations at a registered investment advisor, wealth manager, or asset manager, with direct experience in driving model delivery across public and private solutions. Prior experience launching investment products such as ETFs or other pooled vehicles strongly preferred.

• Proven track record of managing and developing team members to drive results across multiple functions.
