We Are Seeking Qualified Applicants For The Position Marine Coordinator Located Plaquemines Summary Venture Global LNG ("Venture Global") is a long‑term, low‑cost provider of American‑produced liquefied natural gas. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid‑scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost. The Marine Coordinator will report to the Marine Supervisor and is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and adherence to the Venture Global LNG Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) management system. This role encompasses overseeing the specific accountabilities outlined in the Marine Operations Policies & Procedures Manual. The Marine Coordinator is expected to remain abreast of all safety developments & systems to assist and advise the Marine Supervisor on pertinent issues. This role is expected to monitor all components of marine activities and will support, investigate, and correct any identified safety issues. The marine coordinator will work a schedule based on operational activity and is expected to be present during any major activity or operations. General Description Demonstrate comprehensive understanding and adhere to regulatory requirements as outlined in 33 CFR 127, including the US Coast Guard (USCG) Operations and Emergency Manual and Marine Operating Manual. Supervise all marine work conducted under the CPLNG Permit to Work (PTW) system, ensuring adherence to established protocols. Conduct onsite audits to verify compliance with PTW regulations and related policies. Ensure that all work permits are properly closed and documented. Keep the Marine Supervisor informed of any safety, environmental, regulatory compliance, or operational issues that arise. Maintain PIC status throughout the loading process, utilizing all required documentation, including but not limited to: pre/post loading agendas, safety and security documents (DoS), cargo loading plans, ship/shore safety protocols, notices of readiness (NOR), cargo manifests, quality and quantity certificates, document receipts, and marine gas calibration and verification procedures. Acquire knowledge of small vessel operations, including tugs, pilot vessels, production plant operations, marine terminal operations, and hydrocarbon liquid operations. Collaborate with surveyors to address all product specification issues and comprehend the automatic sampling system. Understand battery limit process streams, Boil-Off Gas (BOG) systems, Emergency Shutdown (ESD) valve locations, and Pressure Safety Valve (PSV) systems. Clearly articulate the LNG storage tank system and pumps, hydraulic ESD valves, operations for connecting and disconnecting/loading arm systems (liquid and vapor), jetty operations, ship gangway protocols, and mooring systems including loading arm clearances and vapor return systems. As the PIC, maintain familiarity with berthing thresholds dictated by environmental factors, regulatory requirements, and pre‑established operational criteria for LNG carrier approaches, mooring processes, and LNG loading activities. Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Laboratory, and other relevant departments to ensure comprehensive input and consideration of all marine activities that may impact jetty operations. Qualifications Moderate leadership and administrative abilities are required. Strong operational knowledge of the facility and equipment is essential, including familiarity with construction and maintenance activities across the entire complex. Skills to coordinate multiple activities while understanding their impact on other operational areas are necessary. Complete understanding of regulatory agency and company requirements regarding first line breaks, hot work, cold work, confined space, lockout/tagout (LOTO), job safety analysis (JSA), and other critical safeguards is required for the health and safety of personnel, care and control of equipment, and environmental protection. Ability to adapt to changing conditions and make informed decisions with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills are important for effective interaction with both company and contract personnel, alongside knowledge to recognize hazards associated with performed work. The incumbent should be a positive and open‑minded individual, capable of collaborating with various disciplines, self‑motivated, and able to work efficiently. Strong planning and organizational skills are a must. Awareness of quality, health, safety, security, and environmental issues in the facility is critical; attendance at meetings and daily communication with plant supervision is expected. Proficient in using computer applications including Apple Mac, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint). Required Experience Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Marine Coordinator on an onshore/offshore installation, either floating or fixed, marine hydrocarbon terminal operations, or LNG carrier operations. Familiarity with small vessel operations (e.g., tugs, pilot vessels) and production plan marine operations, including hydrocarbon liquid and gas tanker operations, is required. Knowledge of standard international LNG carrier ship equipment and operations, particularly in relation to spray pumps, cargo pumps, high and low duty compressors, gas heaters, LNG forcing vaporizers, nitrogen generators, inert gas and dry air systems, as well as gassing up and cooling down cargo tanks. Familiarity with the NCOE (USCG National Center of Expertise) is required. Preferred Experience Minimum of ten (10) years of working experience in Operations with LNG or other cryogenic hydrocarbon liquids and associated systems is preferred. Prior experience as a marine coordinator is preferred. Required Education Associate degree in related field, relevant military training or equivalent experience. Marine Coordinator PIC qualification is desirable. Licensing & Certifications Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status.
