Pecan; Midland, TX, 79705 Job Schedule: Full-Time/Hybrid About the Role The DFCA Supervisor II serves in a strategic function at Buckner Children and Family Services and is responsible for the day‑to‑day recruitment, coordination and provision of services to foster children, foster families, and foster adoptive families. Provide foster parent training and monitor homes for compliance with state minimum standards. Promote foster care and adoptive services in the community. Supervise home development and recruitment activities to ensure compliance with state regulatory and contract guidelines. Supervise caseworkers and ensure compliance with all contracts and regulatory standards. What you will do Source, hire, supervise, monitor, evaluate and provide direction to direct reports. Provide professional growth and development; develop and communicate annual goals and objectives; monitor and provide constructive feedback; conduct annual performance evaluation. Timely and accurately address personnel issues including commendations and disciplinary actions using appropriate professional documentation. Support location operations to ensure efficiency, including timely resolution of issues and effective organization through departmentalization and delegation of duties. Assist with budget preparation and continuous monitoring of foster care program resources. Oversee administration, operations, and management of services, including those inherent in the T3C service packages. Prepare developmental plans or corrective action for caseworkers out of compliance with minimum standards, T3C expectations, and Buckner policies. Supervise foster homes to ensure compliance with state minimum standards through quarterly home visits. Prepare corrective action plans for foster families out of compliance and document progress in their files. Maintain all client and home documentation per established standards; audit files regularly. Complete thorough documentation in a timely manner for home files to meet minimum standards. What you’ll bring to the team Advanced education: Master’s degree in human services or related field with required coursework and documented child placement experience (details provided). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Availability to work nights and weekends as required. Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse youth and families. Proficient English reading, writing, and speaking; Spanish bilingual preferred. Knowledge of legalities involved in medical/clinical intervention. Strong counseling and problem‑solving skills. Effective public speaking and professional communication with multi‑ethnic populations. Accurate assessment and decision‑making skills. In-depth understanding of regulatory standards and requirements governing programs and services. Positive relational skills with a broad spectrum of people in multi‑tiered settings. Strategic and logistical planning; facilitation of meetings, conferences, workshops, and retreats. Personnel management and administrative skills: staff selection, development, motivation, scheduling, evaluation. Sound judgment and crisis response; flexibility to meet changing business needs. Driver’s license and vehicle availability; must meet insurance requirements; age 21+. Cultural competency and confidentiality. Detail‑oriented approach to information management. Budgetary management and policy development knowledge. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
