Therapist - Speech Language Pathologist

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized speech therapy services to patients across inpatient rehab settings. Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans to improve communication, speech, and swallowing functions.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities to establish accurate diagnoses.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with patient needs and goals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and progress.
• Document patient progress and adjust therapy techniques as necessary using electronic charting systems.
• Educate patients and family members on strategies to enhance communication and safety.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, certification, and hospital policies throughout therapy delivery.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current South Carolina state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Possess BLS certification and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• Have at least one year of experience working in an inpatient rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using electronic medical records like Epic.
• Exhibit strong communication, clinical assessment, and patient management skills.
