Associate Director leading technology-enabled transformation initiatives within Medical Writing Science at a pharmaceutical company. The role translates business needs into executable solutions, manages workflow redesign and process optimization, and partners across enterprise teams to drive adoption and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

Lead complex transformation initiatives from business need through solution definition, implementation, and optimization
Conduct current-state assessments and future-state workflow redesigns identifying pain points and improvement opportunities
Develop business cases, requirements documents, implementation approaches, and success measures for assigned initiatives
Facilitate prototypes, pilots, user acceptance testing, and implementation activities ensuring business alignment
Manage initiative-level risks, dependencies, stakeholder alignment, and integration of change management and adoption strategies

Requirements

8+ years progressive experience in biotech, pharma, life sciences, or technology transformation
Bachelor's degree in life sciences, computer science, engineering, or equivalent; advanced degree preferred
Demonstrated ability to translate complex business needs into future-state processes and success criteria
Experience leading process analysis, requirements development, solution evaluation, pilots, and implementations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to navigate ambiguity and manage dependencies
Experience applying governance, responsible AI, risk management, compliance, and human-oversight principles
Cross-functional leadership and stakeholder alignment skills without direct authority

Compensation: $153,900 - $230,900 base
