Call Center Customer Service Representative

Are you a dedicated, customer-focused communicator who thrives in a dynamic environment? We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our Home Delivery Service Center team. In this role, you will serve as the key point of contact for end consumers and client customer service teams, delivering efficient, high-quality support and problem resolution across multiple channels. Location: Houston, TX 77032 (100% on site) Start Date: Monday, October 19 Schedule: Full time; must have open availability to work any shift Monday-Friday 7AM-7PM; permanent shifts determined after training is complete. Training: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM Key Responsibilities

• Multi-Channel Engagement: Resolve customer queries and complaints efficiently via Phone, Email, Chat, and other communication channels in a blended agent environment
• First-Contact Resolution: Drive a "quality first" philosophy to resolve issues on the first interaction whenever possible
• Problem Solving: Analyze complex customer issues and implement effective solutions that benefit both the customer and the company
• Data & File Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date customer records, process inquiries, enter new information, and document call details according to standard operating procedures
• Issue Escalation: Promptly identify, prioritize, and escalate critical issues to the appropriate team members
Qualifications & Requirements
• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; college coursework or degree is a plus
• Experience: Prior experience in a contact center or customer service environment is required. Experience in the logistics industry is a plus
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, effective active listening, and demonstrated ability to diffuse sensitive or difficult customer situations
• Technical Proficiency: Basic PC proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Lync, SharePoint) and web-based software applications. Experience with multi-channel contact center systems (Voice, Email, Chat, Social Media) is a plus
• Key Competencies: Confident, resilient, team-oriented, punctual, self-motivated, and capable of maintaining stable performance under pressure

Responsibilities
• Resolve customers service or billing complaints by performing activities such as exchanging merchandise, refunding money, and adjusting bills
• Contact customers to respond to inquiries or to notify them of claim investigation results and any planned adjustments
• Refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation
• Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken.
