Senior Vice President of Operations

Reference: PR/607836_1790273627A growing wholesale apparel organization is seeking a Senior Vice President, Operations to lead and optimize the day-to-day operations of its business. This executive leadership role will oversee planning, sourcing, supply chain, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, financial performance, and organizational development. The SVP of Operations will partner closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to translate strategic objectives into operational execution while building the systems, processes, and teams needed to support continued expansion. The ideal candidate will bring deep wholesale apparel experience, strong supply chain expertise, financial acumen, and a proven track record of leading high-performing organizations within apparel, consumer products, distribution, or manufacturing environments. Responsibilities for the SVP, Operations:Lead all day-to-day operational functions across planning, sourcing, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, fulfillment, and distribution.Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company growth, profitability, and long-term business objectives.Oversee demand planning and inventory planning processes to maximize order fulfillment while optimizing inventory investments.Partner with sourcing teams and international manufacturing partners to ensure timely, cost-effective production and supply continuity.Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy, service levels, operational efficiency, and margin enhancement.Oversee warehousing, transportation, logistics, and fulfillment operations to improve customer service and reduce operating costs.Collaborate with merchandising, product development, sales, finance, and executive leadership teams to ensure alignment across business functions.Establish KPIs, reporting frameworks, and accountability measures to drive operational excellence across the organization.Manage operational budgets, performance metrics, cost controls, and profitability initiatives.Evaluate and enhance ERP, inventory management, planning, and operational systems to support scalability and visibility.Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations organization while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Identify operational risks and develop strategies that support business continuity, growth, and long-term success.Requirements for the SVP, Operations:Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.10+ years of progressive leadership experience within apparel, consumer products, wholesale distribution, manufacturing, or related industries.Proven experience leading large-scale supply chain, planning, sourcing, logistics, inventory, and operational functions.Strong background managing international suppliers, manufacturers, and sourcing operations.Demonstrated success driving process improvement, operational efficiencies, and scalable business infrastructure.Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, profitability, product costing, margins, and operational performance metrics.Experience implementing KPIs, dashboards, and data-driven decision-making processes across multiple functions.Excellent leadership, communication, change management, and organizational development skills.Experience with ERP, WMS, inventory management, demand planning, and business intelligence platforms.Prior experience scaling a growing apparel, consumer products, or distribution organization is strongly preferred.Experience within wholesale apparel, branded apparel, private label, promotional products, workwear, uniform, or adjacent industries highly desirable.
