Role Description The Behavioral Health Technician is a part-time, on-site role based in the Albuquerque–Santa Fe Metropolitan Area. This role involves implementing ABA treatment plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or other qualified clinical supervisor. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing direct 1:1 behavior intervention, collecting accurate data on client behaviors and skill acquisition, and assisting with the implementation of individualized behavior support plans. The Behavioral Health Technician will support clients in home, clinic, school, or community settings, model appropriate behaviors, and reinforce skill-building activities. Additional tasks may include preparing session materials, participating in team meetings, maintaining clear documentation, and communicating observations to supervisors and caregivers. Qualifications Foundational knowledge of Behavior Analysis and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), with the ability to follow behavior plans and treatment protocols. Skills in Behavioral Intervention, including implementing behavior support strategies, managing challenging behaviors safely, and supporting skill development. Strong Communication abilities, including clear verbal and written communication with clients, families, and clinical team members. Background or coursework in Psychology or related fields, with an understanding of developmental and behavioral concepts. High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in psychology, education, or related disciplines preferred. Ability to work on-site in the Albuquerque–Santa Fe Metropolitan Area and reliably travel to assigned locations. Capacity to follow clinical guidance, accept feedback, and work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry; familiarity with electronic health records is a plus. Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to ethical and professional standards.
