Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring 1+ years of experience and ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification.

Details

• Level II Trauma Center setting including outpatient, inpatient, ED, and IR services
• MRI department performs a wide variety of exams including Cardiac MRI, Breast MRI, brain, spine, abdomen, and extremity studies
• Day shift exposed to more specialized studies while night shift focuses on standard scans
• Patient population ranges from ambulatory to total assist, with more ambulatory patients on day shift
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekend requirement
• Call is optional, not required
• Floating required to cover Outpatient, Inpatient, and ED needs, as well as sister facilities within the state
• Uses GE equipment and PACS system
• EPIC charting system

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification required (hardstop)
• ARRT-R certification preferred
• WA state license specific to MRI required - license required if applicable
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Community hospital experience required
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Experience with neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents preferred
• Skills in abdomen, pelvis, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging required
• Experience with CINE, diffusion, perfusion, and MRA procedures preferred
• Proficiency in contrast media preparation/administration and peripheral IV starts required
• Experience with phlebotomy, EKG, and biopsies preferred

Additional Information

• Perform a wide range of MRI exams across outpatient, inpatient, and ED settings
• Any scrub color accepted except reddish orange
• Facility-paid parking provided
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Local candidates not accepted; 50-mile radius rule applies
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period and must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process; post-offer requests may not be accommodated
• Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities within the state as part of the assignment
