About the Role
The Company is seeking a General Counsel for its Electrical Power business, which is a key player in the defense and aerospace sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal and business advice on complex commercial and US government contracting issues, with a focus on FAR Part 15 contracting. This role requires a JD from an accredited law school, a minimum of 10 years' experience in the relevant legal areas, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret U.S. Government Security clearance. The General Counsel will work closely with business teams to ensure compliant growth, and will be involved in shaping strategic and tactical actions within regulatory boundaries. Key responsibilities include providing legal support for sourcing operations, leading compliance investigations, and managing relationships with external counsels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial risk issues, DoD business systems requirements, and export control restrictions. In-house experience, the ability to collaborate at all levels, and a proven track record of problem-solving and driving solutions are highly valued. The role demands a professional with unyielding integrity, a bias toward speed and simplicity, and a commitment to the company's proprietary Lean operating system. The General Counsel will be a critical part of the team, with a focus on enabling the future of flight and delivering cutting-edge products to the warfighter.
