The unit handles higher acuity cases, including thoracic, orthopedic, neurology, vascular, urology, and general surgery cases. The unit is overseen by a charge nurse and supervisor. Candidates must be willing to work on holidays, including two major holidays and one minor holiday each year. This position requires strong critical thinking and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge and experience with Cerner are essential. The unit is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with call coverage on holidays.
