MONDAY–THURSDAY SCHEDULE!The Greer Group is NOW HIRING experienced Assemblers for a growing fiber optic cable and electronics manufacturer in East Asheville, NC!WORK SCHEDULE1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PMMonday through ThursdayEnjoy a 3-day weekend most weeks!Occasional overtime on FridaysIf you enjoy detailed, hands-on work, working with small components, and producing high-quality products, this could be a great opportunity for you!WHAT YOU'LL DOAssemble, test, inspect, and package fiber optic cables and electronic components.Cut and prepare fiber optic cables for termination.Terminate single-fiber and multi-fiber cables.Assemble connectors and precision components.Use small hand tools, microscopes, and specialized assembly equipment.Perform soldering and de-soldering operations as required.Read and follow assembly drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and work instructions.Inspect products for cosmetic and functional defects.Complete production documentation and maintain product traceability.Meet quality and productivity standards while working independently and as part of a team.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORHigh School Diploma or GED required.Minimum 12 months of assembly experience required.Experience with small parts, electronics, or precision assembly preferred.Ability to use hand tools and detailed assembly equipment.Ability to pass Solder Pot Certification.Ability to read assembly drawings and follow detailed instructions.Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.Ability to distinguish colors and inspect small components.Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills preferred.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSStand and walk throughout the shift.Regularly lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.Perform repetitive hand movements, bending, stretching, and stooping.Work safely around manufacturing equipment and materials.WHY APPLY?First shift only — no rotating shifts!Four-day workweek — Monday through Thursday!Three-day weekends most weeks!Occasional Friday overtime opportunities.Clean manufacturing environment.Opportunity to develop specialized fiber optic manufacturing skills.Support from The Greer Group's dedicated recruiting team.READY FOR A GREAT OPPORTUNITY?Put your assembly experience to work with a growing manufacturer and enjoy a schedule that gives you more time for life outside of work!APPLY TODAY!
