• Schedule: Days/Nights, 12-hour shifts

• Location: Pontiac/Oakland County, Michigan Trinity Health Oakland Hospital
\n

  Requirements

\n
• Current board certification in one of the following disciplines:\n
  \n
  • PA-C (Physician Assistant-Certified)
  \n
  • AGACNP (Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner)
  \n
  • ACNPC or ACNPC-AG (Acute Care Nurse Practitioner)
  \n
\n

\n
• Minimum of 12 years of post-graduate experience in an inpatient neurology or hospital-based setting (stroke or neurological disorders experience preferred)
\n
• BLS and ACLS certification required
\n
• State of Michigan License
\n
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skill
\n

Duties & Responsibilities

\n
• Perform neurological assessments, obtain patient histories, and conduct physical examinations
\n
• Manage patients with acute neurological conditions in collaboration with the neurohospitalist team
\n
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests such as imaging and laboratory studies Respond to Code Stroke alerts and assist with time-sensitive interventions
\n
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
\n
• Document patient care in the EMR (Epic) accurately and timely
\n
• Work closely other interdisciplinary care teams to ensure continuity of care
\n
• Participate in quality initiatives and protocol-driven care for stroke and neurological disorders
\n
