Direct Support ProfessionalLife Skills and Transition Center in Grafton North Dakota is currently hiring Direct Support Professionals. Sign on bonus is available for qualifying new employees $1,500 - $2,500. No experience required onsite training provided. Work shifts include 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM and 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM and every other weekend. Night work shifts are 9:45 PM - 6:15 AM and two weekends on and one off. Hours may vary to meet department needs. Must successfully complete an approved training program within the probationary period.North Dakota Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking Direct Support Professional(s) to connect with and assist persons residing at the Life Skills and Transition Center (LSTC) in Grafton to complete daily living activities in order to be independent and transition to community providers. Each day, you will assist the individuals to identify their goals for learning and practicing new skills, and what is important for them. Daily life activities may include personal hygiene tasks, work or job, recreation or leisure, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Also, you will model effective communication and socialization interactions as well as teach self-advocacy and self-help strategies. You will observe, monitor, document and report on the individuals' condition and progress both orally and in writing to the team of the person served.To be considered for this position, you must have a high school diploma or GED. Hiring Range starts at $18.00 per hour depending on experience there is also a shift differential pay for some shifts.
