Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience and prior travel assignment experience for a cardiac interventional radiology unit.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit within a community hospital setting
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with 4x10 hour shifts also possible
• On-call required Monday-Friday 4 PM-9 PM and Saturday/Sunday 9 AM-2 PM, rotating among 4 technologists
• Uses Siemens fluoroscopy equipment
• Charting is done in Cerner

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent IR technologist experience within the last 7 years
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
• ARRT (R) certification required, ARRT (VI) preferred
• ACLS certification required
• MD state license or compact license required; license required if applicable
• Community hospital experience required
• Cerner charting experience required
• Skilled in special procedures including angioplasty, IVC filter placement and removal, and fluoroscopy
• Proficient in prepping access sites and maintaining sterile technique while scrubbed in

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include equipment setup, access site prep, maintaining sterile fields, and serving as room circulator as needed
• Follows isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and infection control standards
• Scrubs are provided
• Orientation occurs every Monday
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate
• Previous MedStar employees must have a minimum one-year separation before returning as a traveler
