Certified Medical Assistant Opportunity at Fort BlissGiaCare is currently seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support outpatient healthcare services at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas.This position offers an excellent opportunity to provide hands-on clinical and administrative support within a structured military healthcare environment. The successful candidate will work alongside physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals while supporting service members, military families, retirees, and other eligible beneficiaries.Benefits$25.59 per hourAdditional $5.09 per hour in Health & Welfare benefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance optionsPaid time offPaid federal holidays401(k) retirement planConsistent full-time scheduleProfessional and mission-driven healthcare environmentResponsibilitiesWelcome patients and prepare them for examinations and proceduresObtain and accurately document vital signs, medical histories, medications, and patient concernsAssist healthcare providers during examinations, treatments, and minor proceduresAdminister medications and injections as authorized and within the established scope of practicePerform venipuncture, specimen collection, and basic laboratory procedures as assignedConduct EKGs and other routine diagnostic procedures when requiredPrepare examination rooms and ensure necessary equipment and supplies are availableClean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments and clinical equipmentMaintain accurate patient information within the electronic medical recordSchedule appointments, answer telephone calls, and assist with other administrative functionsFollow infection-control, patient-safety, privacy, and documentation requirementsCommunicate effectively with patients, providers, and members of the interdisciplinary healthcare teamPerform other duties consistent with the responsibilities of a Certified Medical AssistantRequirementsCurrent certification or registration as a Medical Assistant through a nationally recognized credentialing organizationCompletion of an accredited or formally recognized Medical Assistant training programCurrent Basic Life Support certificationRelevant clinical experience performing both administrative and hands-on patient-care dutiesExperience obtaining vital signs, preparing patients, documenting medical information, and assisting healthcare providersAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinical environmentStrong communication, organization, and patient-service skillsProficiency with electronic medical records and standard clinical documentationAbility to successfully complete required background, occupational health, and security requirementsMust be legally authorized to work in the United StatesMust be a United States citizenPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience in a military treatment facility, federal healthcare setting, or large outpatient clinicExperience performing venipuncture, injections, EKGs, specimen collection, and basic laboratory proceduresBilingual English and Spanish communication skillsFamiliarity with military healthcare systems and patient populationsWhy GiaCare?GiaCare is a trusted healthcare staffing partner supporting military treatment facilities and federal healthcare programs across the country.
