Senior Systems Administrator

Position Overview JDEIS databases and systems must stay current, backed up, and available to support doctrine and education work. The Senior Systems Administrator provides database and systems administration across JDEIS applications, including backups after major updates. The role keeps the data and platforms the Joint Doctrine Development Community depends on stable and secure. Essential Job Functions Provide database and systems administration across JDEIS applications. Maintain, back up, and update databases after large updates, at minimum monthly. Support continuous monitoring and cybersecurity controls under the Risk Management Framework. Coordinate system updates, patches, and upgrades for JDEIS tools. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited university; or CNSSI 4012/4013/4014/4015/4016; or Associate degree and 10 years of experience. Training and Certification (DoDM 8140.03): IAT Level 2 (GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, or CCNA‑Security); IAM Level 2 (CAP, GSLC, CISM, CASP‑CE, or CISSP); Cyber Defense (CEH, GCIA, CSIH, or GCIH); and an OS/CE certificate for applicable systems with privileged access. 5 to 9 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field. Security Clearance: Top Secret (per Staffing Plan). Desired Qualifications Prior systems administration on DoD networks across NIPRNet and SIPRNet.
