Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret project plans, drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and project requirements.

  • Perform site visits to collect project data and evaluate site conditions.

  • Collaborate with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.

  • Analyze project requirements to identify risks, challenges, and cost-saving opportunities.

  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations related to project costs and feasibility.

  • Utilize estimating software to develop accurate project estimates.

  • Prepare bid proposals and submit estimates to clients and project stakeholders.

  • Review subcontractor bids and assist with negotiations.

  • Monitor project costs and update estimates as project conditions change.

  • Provide cost guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Participate in project meetings and provide recommendations related to budgeting and cost control.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.

  • 3-4 years of estimating experience.

  • Experience with estimating software such as HCSS or Bluebeam.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, plans, and specifications.

  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes.

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
