Registered Nurse (RN) - DialysisWe are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Hemodialysis department. The nurse will work flexible shifts to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment, focusing on patients with complex renal and metabolic conditions.Shift Details3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AMRotating weekendsFloat required among multiple locations within the regionCall required on Sunday nights onlyPatient PopulationThe RN will care for a diverse patient population, including those with:End stage renal diseaseAcute kidney injuryMetabolic imbalancesDialysis access problemsDrug overdoses requiring hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis treatmentsAdditional care will be provided to apheresis patients with neurologic, renal, and hematologic/oncologic diseases.Department InformationThe Hemodialysis department operates 24/7, offering hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and apheresis treatments.The department features 9 treatment bays and 1 isolation room equipped for telemetry monitoring.Nursing care is provided around the clock by registered nurses supported by certified hemodialysis technicians and nursing staff.Cardiac monitoring is performed by nursing staff for patients who require telemetry during their treatment.The average length of stay for patients receiving hemodialysis or apheresis is 4-5 hours.Treatments for hemodynamically unstable patients in the ICU will occur in the patient's room, with a nurse present throughout the procedure.Peritoneal dialysis is also carried out in the patient's room.Equipment UtilizedTablo Dialysis DevicesBaxter Amia PD DevicesSpectra Optia Apheresis DevicesQualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess:A valid Registered Nurse (RN) licenseExperience in dialysis or a similar acute care setting is preferredStrong assessment and critical thinking skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCity Greensboro State NC
