Maintenance Technician A (III) Location: Knoxville, TN Competitive compensation package of minimum $25.50/hr – maximum $31.75/hr Transdev in Knoxville, TN is seeking an experienced A-Level Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our assets. Key Responsibilities Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs on engines. Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections. Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for engines. Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on a variety of engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge. Other duties as required. Qualifications 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanic. ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided. Mechanic’s Tool Set Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. Physical Requirements Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed. The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
