Electro-Mechanical Supervisor
HiFyve is hiring an Electro-Mechanical Supervisor in the plastics manufacturing industry in Romeoville, IL!
Salary: $115,000$120,000/year DOE
Shift: Full-Time 1st Shift (MondayFriday, occasional weekend/evening work as needed)
Location: On-site Romeoville, IL
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and provide oversight for a team of 57 Electro-Mechanical Technicians
- Coordinate daily maintenance assignments, downtime reporting, and shift scheduling
- Lead troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of blow molding and related equipment
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and OSHA standards across maintenance activities
- Mentor and train technicians on best practices for equipment setup, changeover, and reliability
- Support capital expenditure planning and facility improvement initiatives
- Review maintenance work orders, assign resources, and prioritize projects to maximize equipment uptime
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, training, and compliance documentation
- Partner with leadership to identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency
- Respond to emergency maintenance situations and provide technical guidance to the team
Education Requirements
Technical or vocational degree/certificate in mechanical/electrical fields preferred
Equivalent combination of education and supervisory experience considered
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
7+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2+ years in a leadership/supervisory role
Blow molding maintenance experience strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
Ability to troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled machinery and ancillary equipment
Excellent leadership, communication, and training abilities
Safety-focused and able to enforce compliance across a team
