You will solve complex problems at scale, develop deep troubleshooting expertise, and keep a relentless focus on availability, latency, performance, and capacity. You will drive a culture of operational excellence by replacing toil with automation and by building systems that are resilient by design.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience5+ years of experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems2+ years of experience leading technical projects and providing engineering leadershipStrong programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, Go, or Java, and shell scripting)Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in Computer Science or EngineeringExperience with observability tooling, SLOs/SLIs, and capacity planning at scaleFamiliarity with cloud infrastructure, container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelinesProven track record of driving automation to reduce operational toil in high-traffic production environmentsPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $277,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
