Job Title: Forklift Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our team for the 2nd Shift, which runs from Sunday to Thursday. You will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our distribution center by handling and organizing materials and products.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, and turret trucks safely and efficiently.

• Load, unload, transport, stack, and retrieve materials, including at elevated storage locations.

• Perform routine equipment inspections and report any safety or maintenance concerns.

• Adhere to all safety policies and regulatory requirements.

• Pick and retrieve products using pick lists, RF scanners, or system-directed methods.

• Verify product descriptions, quantities, and locations to ensure order accuracy.

• Pack, label, and stage orders to minimize damage and support efficient shipment.

• Maintain accuracy and productivity standards in all assigned tasks.

Essential Skills

• At least one year of forklift experience.

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

• Experience with picking and packing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with inventory control, shipping, and receiving.

• Experience with RF scanners and order picking.

• Proficiency in using pallet jacks and data entry.

Work Environment

The role is based in a distribution center and involves working on the 2nd Shift: Sunday from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm, and Monday to Thursday from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm. The position requires wearing appropriate safety gear and being comfortable with physical tasks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Solon, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
