Our organization is on the lookout for a skilled Chief of Breast Surgery to take on the role of Co-Director at our newly updated Stamford Health Breast Center. The selected Chief will collaborate with two fellowship-trained breast surgeons within our multi-specialty physician group and will co-manage the Breast Center alongside the Director of Women's Imaging.
The ideal candidate will have completed a fellowship in breast surgery and possess outstanding interpersonal abilities, along with a commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care. A strong enthusiasm for contributing to the education of residents and medical students is highly valued.
Our health system operates as a community-focused academic medical center, offering a wide range of services across all surgical specialties. The Department of Surgery features a dedicated general surgery residency program and plays an active role in the clinical training of medical and physician assistant students. We are proud to be the largest teaching affiliate of a prestigious medical college. Furthermore, we are a Collaborative Member of a renowned cancer center.
The Breast Center has earned an Outstanding Achievement Award from the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, along with accreditation from the National Accreditation of Breast Centers (NAPBC) and recognition as an Academic Comprehensive Cancer Program. Our facility has also been honored with the Women's Choice Award for America's Best Breast Center and designated as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology.
