Base pay range $27.00/hr - $30.00/hr Scientific & Technical Recruiter @ Astrix | Driving Innovation by Connecting Top Talent with Leading Life Science Companies Our client, a leading food and beverage manufacturer, is looking for a skilled Associate R&D Chemist to join their team in San Fernando area of California. Pay rate: $27- $30/ hr. Key Responsibilities: Assist in preparing flavor samples and prototypes for development. Perform basic laboratory tasks such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients. Maintain accurate records of experiments, results, and observations. Clean, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and workspaces to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. Assist in the sensory evaluation of samples, using established techniques. Follow safety protocols and laboratory procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards. Order and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies. Support senior scientists and flavorists in research and development projects as needed. Qualifications: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Basic understanding of laboratory procedures and techniques. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to follow instructions and work independently. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A passion for food and flavor and a keen interest in flavor innovation.
