Position Summary:  The Dietitian will provide nutritional assessments, dietary counseling, education and interventions to the terminally ill patient and their family and/or care givers. The Dietitian is an active participant in the Agency's Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) and assists in developing, coordinating, and implementing an individualized Plan of Care (POC).

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in nutrition or related subjects, preferred.
• Registered or Licensed Dietitian as required by the state where practicing; or is eligible for registration by the American Dietetic Association or has documented equivalency in education or training. 
• Must have current driver’s license.
• One (1) year experience as a dietician/dietitian. Experience in hospice or working with terminally ill patients preferred.
• Knowledge of nutritional needs of the terminally ill patient. Good interpersonal skills. Demonstrates ability to work with electronic medical records. Good understanding of hospice philosophy.
• Reliable transportation and valid current auto liability insurance required.
